Fowles, LSU roll into SEC title game
Mar 9, 2008 - 5:41 AM NASHVILLE, Tennessee (Ticker) -- Sylvia Fowles had 20 points and 13 rebounds to power No. 6 Louisiana State to a 66-49 victory over Kentucky in the Southeastern Conference tournament semifinals Saturday night.It was the 10th consecutive double-double and 18th of the season for Fowles, who also scored 20 points for the 37th time in her career.
Quianna Chaney added 18 points for the Lady Tigers (27-4), who reached their fourth straight SEC final and will face Tennessee in the championship game.
Samantha Mahoney scored 17 points and Sarah Elliott added 12 for Kentucky (15-15), which was outrebounded, 44-34.
