UCLA routs UC Santa Barbara behind Pluimer's double-double
Nov 13, 2006 - 8:15 AM LOS ANGELES (Ticker) -- Lindsey Pluimer scored 23 points to lead four players in double figures as No. 23 UCLA posted an 87-62 triumph against UC Santa Barbara in its season opener.Pluimer made 8-of-12 shots and also pulled down 11 rebounds to help UCLA to a dominant 57-35 advantage on the boards.
Noelle Quinn scored 13 points, Amanda Livingston 12 and Chinyere Ibekwe 11 as the Bruins won despite shooting 42 percent (31-of-73) and committing 22 turnovers.
Jenna Green scored 14 points and grabbed eight rebounds and Jordan Franey and Jessica Wilson each added 12 points for Santa Barbara (1-1), which shot under 33 percent (22-of-67) and committed 20 turnovers.
