Miller, Gladden help Florida State ease past Stetson
Dec 7, 2006 - 4:23 AM TALLAHASSEE, Florida (Ticker) -- Britany Miller scored 23 points and Alicia Gladden added 18 as newly ranked Florida State posted a 70-44 victory over Stetson.Miller shot 7-of-14 from the field and added nine rebounds and five blocks for the No. 25 Seminoles, who were voted into the USA Today/ESPN coaches poll for the first time since February 15, 2005.
Gladden was 7-of-13 from the floor and Nikki Anthony grabbed 10 rebounds for Florida State (9-1), which outrebounded Stetson, 47-27.
The Seminoles, who had a five-point lead at the half, outscored the Hatters by 21 in the second half (44-23), and held them to 32 percent (20-of-63) shooting overall.
Sharnesha Smith scored 12 points for Stetson (1-7), which was 1-for-9 from 3-point range.
