Texas St. tops Angelo St. 48-28

Sep 15, 2009 - 9:37 PM SAN MARCOS, Texas(AP) -- Bradley George threw three touchdown passes Saturday to lead Texas State to a 48-28 victory over Angelo State.

Texas State (1-0) scored on its first drive on a 2-yard pass from George to Da'Marcus Griggs. Garrett Tidwell returned the ensuing kickoff 96 yards to tie the game 7-7 for Angelo State (1-1).

Texas State built a 27-7 halftime lead on scoring runs by Trey Hampton and Cedric Alexander, and George finished with 328 yards passing for the Bobcats. Josh Neiswander threw for 281 yards and two touchdowns for the Rams and V'Keon Lacey caught nine passes for 150 yards and a touchdown.
