Auburn looks to stay perfect in Tuscaloosa

Nov 14, 2006 - 10:30 PM No. 15 Auburn (9-2) at Alabama (6-5), 3:34 pm EST

TUSCALOOSA, Alabama (Ticker) - Auburn never has lost to Alabama in Tuscaloosa. The Tigers see no reason why to start now.

Coming off an unexpected defeat, the 15th-ranked Tigers look to remain perfect here when they visit the Crimson Tide in a battle of bitter Southeastern Conference rivals Saturday.

Alabama leads the series, 38-31-1, but Auburn has won the last four and is 5-0 all-time here.

The Tigers (9-2, 5-2 SEC West) suffered their second home loss of the campaign with a 37-15 setback to previously reeling Georgia last weekend.

Brandon Cox suffered through one of his worst games as a Tiger, completing just 4-of-12 passes for 35 yards with four interceptions. He also was sacked four times.

Alabama (6-5, 2-5 West) has lost three of its last four games, including a 28-14 setback at Louisiana State last week.

John Parker Wilson threw for 291 yards and two touchdowns with one interception for the Crimson Tide, who allowed touchdowns on LSU's first three drives.
