Super Bowl XLVIII most watched TV show in U.S. history
Feb 3, 2014 - 11:18 PM New York, NY (Sports Network) - Sunday's Super Bowl matchup between the Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos was watched by an average audience of 111.5 million people, more than any television program in U.S. history.Despite Seattle's 43-8 dismantling of the Broncos, Super Bowl XLVIII surpassed the previous record of 111.3 million viewers set two years ago when the New York Giants upended the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl.
