Colts seek fourth straight AFC South title

Nov 28, 2006 - 10:23 PM Indianapolis (10-1) at Tennessee (4-7) Sunday 1:00 pm EST

NASHVILLE, Tennessee (Ticker) -- Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts are closing in another division title.

The Colts could claim their fourth straight AFC South title on Sunday with a win over the Tennessee Titans.

Indianapolis also could capture the division if Jacksonville loses at Miami.

In the midst of their fifth straight double-digit win season, the Colts have a one-game lead over both San Diego and Baltimore for home-field advantage throughout the playoffs.

The Colts must be happy to see the Titans, who they have beaten seven straight times, including a 14-13 victory on October 8.

Manning threw for just 166 yards and two touchdowns with an interception in the first meeting. His two-yard TD pass to Reggie Wayne with 5:10 remaining provided the winning points.

The story of the first meeting was the Titans' ground game. Travis Henry rushed for 123 yards for the Titans, who totaled 214 of their 277 yards on the ground.

Rookie Vince Young struggled in his first matchup against Manning, completing just 10-of-21 passes for 63 yards with an interception. He did rush for 43 yards and a touchdown.

Young gave a major glimpse of why the Titans chose him third overall in April's draft in last week's dramatic 24-21 victory over the New York Giants.

Young took over the game in the fourth quarter, throwing for two touchdowns and running for another score as the Titans overcame a 21-0 deficit with under 10 minutes remaining.

"It's a sneak peek of what's to happen not just for me, but this team in general," Young said.

According to the Elias Sports Bureau, the 21-point fourth-quarter comeback engineered by Young was the biggest by a rookie quarterback, topping John Elway's 19-point rally with Denver on December 11, 1993 in a 21-19 win over Indianapolis.

Tennessee has matched its win total from last season.
