Galaxy beat Admirals in World Bowl rematch

Apr 14, 2007 - 10:14 PM FRANKFURT, Germany (Ticker) -- J.T. O'Sullivan passed for 195 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Frankfurt Galaxy to a 30-14 victory over the Amsterdam Admirals in a rematch of last year's World Bowl.

O'Sullivan took the Galaxy to the World Bowl in 2004, when it lost to the Berlin Thunder. He has been on three NFL teams since then and was not on Frankfurt last season when the Galaxy defeated the Admirals, 22-7, in the World Bowl.

But O'Sullivan is at the controls again and completed 17-of-26 passes, including touchdowns of 21 yards to Felton Huggins and 41 yards to Aaron Hosack.

Hosack also caught a 60-yard scoring pass from backup Kevin Eakin and finished with three receptions for 114 yards.

Anthony Sherrell, who was allocated by the Detroit Lions, rushed for 110 yards on 17 carries for Frankfurt (1-0).

Drew Olson passed for 260 yards and two touchdowns, but was also intercepted twice.

Olson connected with Justin Surrency on a seven-yard touchdown in the first quarter and hit Skyler Fulton with a 12-yard scoring play in the second quarter to give Amsterdam (0-1) a 14-7 lead.

But Hosack caught his 60-yard touchdown with 1:52 left in the first half, tying the game.

Frankfurt then dominated the second half. Rhys Lloyd kicked field goals of 42 and 25 yards in the third quarter, giving the Galacy a 20-14 lead.

Safety Ron Rockett then intercepted a pass by Olson to set up O'Sullivan's 41-yard touchdown to Hosack down the right sideline with 6:41 left in the fourth quarter.
