Kings-Devils Preview

The Los Angeles Kings have played well during a five-game road trip, but their toughest test may come in the finale.
The Kings look to finish a perfect trip and win their sixth straight overall Sunday when they visit the New Jersey Devils.
After winning the first four games of this swing, Los Angeles (32-19-3) is seeking to extend its winning streak away from home to seven - its longest since a franchise-record eight-game run Dec. 18, 1974-Jan. 16, 1975.
The Kings won their fifth straight overall Saturday, defeating Boston 3-2 in a shootout. Jarret Stoll scored in the sixth round of the tiebreaker and Jonathan Quick recorded 31 saves for his 30th win of the season.
Anze Kopitar, who has notched at least one point in each game of the winning streak, had a goal and an assist. He has four goals in his last four contests, and seven goals with nine assists in his last 13 games.
Los Angeles was quick to move past its latest victory as it aims to complete a perfect trip against the Devils (35-16-2).
"Sixty more minutes to battle in New Jersey and we will go from there," Stoll said.
The Devils figure to present the stiffest challenge of the Kings' trip, which has featured victories over Detroit, Columbus and Eastern Conference-worst Toronto.
Despite dropping six of its last nine games, New Jersey owns the second-best record in the East. The Devils needed overtime against the Maple Leafs on Friday, but emerged with a 5-4 win.
After scoring nine goals over its previous seven games, New Jersey responded with its highest-scoring effort since a 5-3 win over Minnesota on Jan. 2. The Devils allowed two goals in the third period, including a game-tying score by Toronto's Matt Stajan with 91 seconds remaining, but Travis Zajac scored on a power play 4:14 into overtime.
The Devils had only one power-play goal in their previous 27 chances before Zajac's game-winner.
Zach Parise also snapped out of his brief funk, finishing with two goals and two assists to record a season-high point total after being held without a point in his previous two games. He helped provide plenty of support for Martin Brodeur, who had 25 saves for his league-leading 32nd win.
"It's definitely nice, especially when you allow four of them," Brodeur told the Devils' official Web site. "It's pretty rare I'm going to win a game with four goals against, so we'll take it. It's not the way we want to play it, but for now, it's a big two points that can hopefully give us some momentum."
Brodeur hasn't faced the Kings since Feb. 2, 2008. He is 8-4-1 with a 1.97 goals-against average in his career against them, including a 4-2-0 mark at home.
The Kings and Devils split two meetings last season, with each winning on the other's home ice.
