Flyers make first trip to Prudential Center

NEWARK, New Jersey (Ticker) -- Martin Biron and the Philadelphia Flyers are glad the New Jersey Devils have a new home.

Biron and the Flyers will aim for their first road win over the Devils in more than three years when they visit their Atlantic Division rivals on Thursday.

New Jersey, which won eight straight home games over Philadelphia at the Meadowlands, is playing its first season at the Prudential Center.

The change of scenery may be good for the Flyers, who have not won in New Jersey since March 9, 2004.

Biron, who stopped 26 shots in Wednesday's 3-1 win over Pittsburgh, may be in goal for a second straight night since backup Antero Niittymaki is 0-3 with a 3.37 goals-against average in his last six starts vs. New Jersey.

Biron has been stellar this season. The 12-year veteran, who is 8-4 with a 2.01 GAA, stopped 38 shots in a 4-0 win over the Devils on October 18.

The Flyers hope to add to New Jersey's recent struggles. The Devils are coming off a 5-0 loss to Pittsburgh on Monday. Goaltender Martin Brodeur was pulled after allowing five goals, and has allowed 2.98 GAA on the season.

New Jersey, which has scored just four goals in the last three games, is just 2-for-33 with a man advantage in its last eight games.
