Rangers look to continue offensive streak

TORONTO (Ticker) -- The New York Rangers will look to continue their offensive ways when they face the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday night.

The Rangers scored more than three goals for the first time since the season opener in Thursday's 4-2 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins at Madison Square Garden.

Now New York is looking for its first road win of the season. The Rangers have lost all eight contests away from MSG, including a 3-2 loss against the division-rival New York Islanders on November 6.

The Rangers have been led by Swedish-born goaltender Henrik Lundqvist, who is second in the league in shutouts with four.

Center Scott Gomez, who was signed as a free agent in the offseason, has at least one point in the past five games.

Toronto is looking to rebound after a 5-1 loss to the league-leading Ottawa Senators on Tuesday.

The Maple Leafs are led by veteran center Mats Sundin, who is tied for fourth in the league in scoring at 21 points, with 8 goals and 13 assists.

Toronto won the last matchup between the teams at Madison Square Garden, 4-1, on October 27. Vesa Toskala had 32 saves and defenseman Tomas Kaberle tallied two assists.
