Maple Leafs look for rare win against Senators

TORONTO (Ticker) - Only two teams have faced the Ottawa Senators this season and came away with a victory.

The Toronto Maple Leafs try to become the third team to hand the Senators a setback when the two teams meet on Saturday.

Winning won't be easy for the Maple Leafs as they have lost all three games against the Senators this season - including a 5-1 rout during their last game against Ottawa on November 6.

Toronto enters the game on a three-game losing streak and suffered a 5-2 setback to Boston during its last contest on Thursday, despite outshooting the Bruins 36-27.

The Senators, who have won six of their seven games in November, logged a 3-2 victory over the Buffalo Sabres on Thursday for their second-straight win. Martin Gerber kept Ottawa in the game, making 35 saves.

Gerber has been one of the NHL's best goaltenders this season, posting a 12-1-0 record - tops in the league. The 33-year-old netminder also has a 1.77 goals-against average and ranks third in the NHL with a .943 save percentage.
