Avalanche look to bounce back against Flyers

DENVER (Ticker) - Home has been quite sweet this season for the Colorado Avalanche, owners of a 10-3-0 mark at the Pepsi Center.

Colorado will look to extend its record of success on Friday against the Philadelphia Flyers. The Avalanche started the season 9-1-0 at home, but have dropped two of their last three.

Colorado has dropped its last two games, including a 5-4 decision at Columbus on Wednesday.

The Avalanche, 10-0-0 when leading after two periods before Wednesday, led 3-1 heading into the third period. Colorado went into the game with a 22-1-2 all-time record against the Blue Jackets.

The Flyers come into the game having won four straight on the road, including Wednesday's 3-1 victory at Minnesota. Fourth-line center Jeff Carter had a goal and an assist for Philadelphia.

The Flyers are 9-6-0 overall on the road. Friday's game is the only regular season meeting between the two teams and just the second in four years.

Colorado has won three straight against the Flyers - all in overtime. It is Philadelphia's first visit to Colorado since December 27, 2003.
