Wild searching for offense against Ducks

ANAHEIM, California (Ticker) - The Minnesota Wild have had a hard time finding the back of the net this season.

The Wild look to end their offensive struggles on Friday when they visit the Anaheim Ducks.

Minnesota has managed just seven goals in its last five games and ranks 26th in the NHL, averaging just 2.43 goals a game this season.

The Wild scored just one goal during their last game on Tuesday despite taking 18 shots in the third period and 37 overall. Minnesota couldn't overcome three goals by the San Jose Sharks during a nine-minute stretch in the second period en route to a 4-1 setback.

Minnesota scored twice during its first meeting with Anaheim and skated away with a 2-0 victory on October 14.

The Ducks enter the game with two losses in their last three games - including a 3-2 loss to the Vancouver Canucks on Wednesday. Anaheim couldn't overcome a three-goal deficit despite outshooting the Canucks 16-1 in the third period.
