Sharks looking to continue dominance at home

SAN JOSE, California (Ticker) -- For the San Jose Sharks, there's no place like home.

Evgeni Nabokov and the Sharks will attempt to continue their incredible success at the HP Pavilion on Tuesday when they host the Vancouver Canucks.

Nabokov made 32 saves and captain Patrick Marleau netted the game-winner as San Jose avoided its first three-game losing streak with a 3-2 victory over the New York Rangers.

Defenseman Dan Boyle and Ryane Clowe scored power-play goals 25 seconds apart in the first

period for San Jose, which is 17-0-2 at the HP Pavilion.

Joe Thornton had two assists for the Sharks, who have not lost a regular season game in regulation at "The Shark Tank" since February 14. Over this remarkable stretch, San Jose is 24-0-3 at home.

The Canucks, who are coming off a 4-3 win over the Anaheim Ducks on Monday, will try to end that remarkable streak.

"It's going to be a good test," Vancouver center Ryan Kesler said. "That's why you play the game, you play the game to play against the best and it's going to be exciting and I know it's back-to-back, but I think this team plays better on the second game of a back-to-back."

Daniel Sedin had a pair of goals Monday for Vancouver, which has won three of its last four contests. The Canucks are 9-8-2 on the road.
