Ducks open five-game homestand against Stars

ANAHEIM, California (Ticker) -- The Anaheim Ducks open a five-game homestand against the Dallas Stars on Friday in a battle of Pacific Division rivals.

Anaheim is coming off a 3-2 overtime loss to the Chicago Blackhawks on Tuesday - ending a stretch that saw it win three of its previous four contests.

The Ducks, who are tied with the Stars for ninth in the Western Conference with 68 points, will also play eight of their next 11 games at the Honda Center.

Dallas, meanwhile, suffered a heartbreaking setback on Thursday, when the Los Angeles Kings rallied for a 5-4 overtime victory.

The Stars snapped a five-game skid with a convincing 4-1 triumph over the San Jose Sharks on Tuesday, but were unable to carry the momentum into their next game.

They have scored 14 goals in their last seven contests.
