Luongo, Canucks look for more success vs. Kings

LOS ANGELES (Ticker) -- All-Star goaltender Roberto Luongo and the Vancouver Canucks look to extend their four-game winning streak when they visit the Los Angeles Kings on Monday.

Luongo has surrendered five total goals during the Canucks' run and shined in Saturday's 3-1 victory over the San Jose Sharks.

The 29-year-old has lost just once since dropping five in a row after coming back from a groin injury in January that kept him sidelined for seven weeks.

Vancouver is 12-2-0 since suffering a season-high eight-game losing streak from January 9-31.

The Kings, meanwhile, snapped a four-game skid with a 5-4 overtime victory over the Dallas Stars on Thursday and then built off that success by edging the Minnesota Wild, 4-3, three days later.

Los Angeles' recent swoon hurt its playoff position in the tight Western Conference. The Kings are within five points from joining Edmonton, Dallas and Nashville for the eighth and final spot.
