Holdsworth extends Supercars deal to 2018
Sep 29, 2016 - 7:15 AM Lee Holdsworth is hoping to make up for lost time with a new contract that will keep him in Supercars until at least the end of 2018.The Holden driver missed six races this season after fracturing his pelvis in a horror crash at Darwin's Hidden Valley in June.
He made a remarkable comeback to finish 12th at this month's Sandown 500 with co-driver Karl Reindler, and is eyeing big things at next week's Bathurst 1000.
Holdsworth has been with Charlie Schwerkolt's Team 18 since 2015 following two years at Erebus Motorsport and said it was great to have continuity heading into next year.
"After all the blood sweat and tears put in from everyone involved, I'm looking forward to helping the team reach its true potential over the next few seasons," he said in a statement on Thursday.
