Sydney Roosters re-sign Connor Watson
Dec 17, 2016 - 11:29 PM Connor Watson has re-signed with the Sydney Roosters until at least the end of the 2018 NRL season. The 20-year-old was a shining light in an otherwise miserable year for the Roosters, with the speedy youngster providing plenty of much-needed spark in the halves in his first year at the top level.
"I know I still have a lot of improvement in me, and hopefully I'll keep learning and improving and secure an opportunity to play some good footy for the Roosters," Watson said.
Coach Trent Robinson was delighted to keep the former Knox Grammar rugby union star Watson at the Roosters where he is expected to be used off the bench in the halves and at hooker.
"Connor is a natural ball runner who trains hard. He's also a great young man, so I'm really looking forward to continuing to work with him and watching his development over the next few seasons," Robinson said.
