Pearce re-signs with NRL Roosters
Feb 22, 2017 - 8:09 AM Sydney Roosters halfback Mitchell Pearce has re-signed with the NRL club for a further two years. The Roosters announced the deal, which will keep him with the Tricolours until at least the end of 2019, on Wednesday evening.
Entering into his 11th NRL season, the 27-year-old said he didn't want to go anywhere else.
"The Roosters mean a lot to me. The club has been a big part of my life, and there's been a lot of loyalty," Pearce said.
"There's such a good group of people at the Roosters and I'm proud to represent the club. I've made some of my closest mates here, and I feel like I've got unfinished business."
Roosters head coach Trent Robinson added: "Mitch is a Rooster and this is his home, so it's great news for our members and everyone at the club to know that he will continue to play his role with the Roosters in the coming years."
