Rosario scores twice, Toronto FC beat Dynamo 2-1

Sep 19, 2010 - 3:11 AM HOUSTON (AP) -- Dwayne De Rosario scored his second goal of the game in second-half stoppage time to give Toronto FC a 2-1 victory over the Houston Dynamo on Saturday night.

Toronto FC (8-10-7, 31 points) kept its playoff hopes alive with its first win in seven games, while Houston (6-13-5, 23 points) lost its third straight.

De Rosario scored the winner off Jacob Peterson's free kick. Peterson nudged the ball to the right, just above the upper box, and De Rosario launched a hard shot into the right side.

De Rosario tied it in the 60th minute off a free kick from Maicon Santos. Santos sent a quick pass to De Rosario, who fired a hard shot from just outside the upper left box into the right side.

Brian Ching opened the scoring for Houston in 18th minute with a backward header from 6 yards.
