Galaxy, Red Bulls finish level at Red Bull Arena
Apr 26, 2015 - 11:05 PM Harrison, NJ (SportsNetwork.com) - Bradford Jamieson IV and Felipe Martins exchanged goals on Sunday as the Los Angeles Galaxy and New York Red Bulls played to an entertaining 1-1 draw at Red Bull Arena.Jamieson struck for the visitors after nine minutes, but Felipe bagged the equalizer just prior to the hour mark to rescue a point for New York and keep Jesse Marsch's side unbeaten through six matches.
Los Angeles, meanwhile, handed 18-year-old Jamieson the start up top in place of Irish international Robbie Keane and the result extended the Galaxy's unbeaten streak to a modest three games.
The Galaxy grabbed the lead when Jamieson did well to get past two New York defenders and into the penalty area before ripping one low and hard into the bottom right corner, leaving New York goalkeeper Luis Robles with no chance.
The Red Bulls found an equalizer in the 58th minute with a bit of good fortune when Sal Zizzo played a low cross into the area that was blocked by the LA defense, but the ball popped right onto the head of Felipe, who nodded it home from close range.
Both teams created several scoring chances over the final 30 minutes as the fourth official's board showed four minutes of added time, but the clubs were forced to settle for a share of the spoils.
