Dallas, Houston renew rivalry at Robertson Stadium

May 27, 2011 - 5:15 PM Houston, TX (Sports Network) - The Houston Dynamo will aim to break out of a five-game winless streak when they host rivals FC Dallas in Major League Soccer action at Robertson Stadium on Saturday.

The Dynamo are actually coming off a mid-week loss at Los Angeles in which they fell on a fluke, 1-0 in first-half stoppage time. A handball led to the game deciding goal.

"We did do some good things," Houston coach Dominic Kinnear said. "We started the game pretty good, and then we hit a lull in the second half where we were sloppy with our passing. We stopped going forward. We didn't do enough in and around the box."

Houston (3-4-5) will be aiming for its first win in six tries in May on Saturday.

Dallas (6-3-3), on the other hand, is unbeaten in seven, including a 1-0 win at Seattle on Wednesday. Brek Shea scored the lone goal in that contest for his team's third win in its last four MLS fixtures.

"He continues to develop," Dallas coach Schellas Hyndman said of Shea. "He just turned 21 and we just signed him to a four year contract so he's a player that we have a lot of faith in. He's going to continue to develop. He broke through and beat [Kasey] Keller when he was coming out. It changed the whole game at that point in time."

After that, veteran goalkeeper Kevin Hartman slammed the door on Seattle for his 99th career MLS shutout.

"We had to work hard for a long period of time because Seattle was throwing a lot of numbers at us and some quality at us," Hartman said. "I thought we weathered the first half pretty easily and they kept throwing bodies at us in the second half. Fortunately we were able to block some shots, save some shots and prevent shots. At the end of the day, we were pretty content to get the three points and get out of there."

Dallas will be without defender Edson Edward and midfielders David Ferreira and Bryan Leyva because of injuries, while defender Jair Benitez and forwards Maykel Galindo and Milton Rodriguez are listed as questionable.

Houston will be without forwards Calen Carr and Brian Ching, while midfielders Danny Cruz is questionable and forward Cam Weaver is probable.
