Ben Khalfallah to exit A-League's Victory
Apr 26, 2017 - 5:34 AM Melbourne Victory's Tunisian attacker Fahid Ben Khalfallah will depart the A-League club at season's end.Ben Khalfallah, 34, won the club's player of the year award in Victory's 2014-15 double-winning side.
Ahead of Sunday's semi-final with Brisbane Roar - potentially his last match for Victory - Ben Khalfallah confirmed he would be moving on.
"It is going to be my last games at Victory and hopefully I am going to do it carrying the trophy," he told News Corp.
He has been linked with Newcastle Jets, a move that teammate Daniel Georgievski will make in the off-season.
Ben Khalfallah and Victory endured a mid-season dispute as the attacker approached a trigger-point in his contract that would have earned him a one-year extension.
Coach Kevin Muscat didn't pick the winger for three games as a result.
Ben Khalfallah is at peace with the decision, and is focused on winning a second championship.
"Everyone's got personal issues, but I think right now we all just have to concentrate on finals," Ben Khalfallah.
"We all remember what happened two years ago and I want to live that again."
