Catchings, Fever cruise past Silver Stars
Aug 10, 2011 - 1:46 AM Indianapolis, IN (Sports Network) - Tamika Catchings scored 21 points and Erin Phillips had 18, leading the Indiana Fever to an 81-68 victory over the San Antonio Silver Stars on Tuesday.
Katie Douglas added 13 points for the Fever, who have won six of their last seven games.
Becky Hammon scored 19 points to pace the Silver Stars, who have lost four of five. Sophia Young added 13 points and Scholanda Robinson scored 12 in the defeat.
The Fever took control of the game with a 20-5 second quarter, holding San Antonio to 1-for-14 shooting in the period. They led by as many as 20 points in the game.
