Dream overcome Fever in OT
Sep 5, 2013 - 2:20 AM Atlanta, GA (Sports Network) - Angel McCoughtry poured in a game-high 30 points to go with nine rebounds and eight assists, as Atlanta used a late OT surge to down Indiana, 89-80, on Wednesday, and clinch a playoff berth.Erika de Souza added 17 points and 15 rebounds, including the game-tying bucket late in regulation, while Armintie Herrington clocked in with 13 points and three steals for the Dream, who have won two in a row.
Tamika Catchings totaled 22 points and nine boards, with Erlana Larkins scoring 10 with a game-best 17 boards for the Fever, who lost after posting only four points in overtime.
In the extra session, De Souza's runner put Atlanta on top, 79-77, with 3:09 remaining, kicking off a game-sealing 9-2 run that included five points from McCoughtry -- the last of which 1-of-2 from the line for an 86-79 edge with 51.6 seconds on the clock.
