Delle Donne leads Sky past Griner's Mercury
May 27, 2013 - 11:53 PM Phoenix, AZ (Sports Network) - Elena Delle Donne scored 22 points in her WNBA debut, leading the Chicago Sky to a 102-80 victory over top pick Brittney Griner and the Phoenix Mercury.Delle Donne, the No. 2 overall pick behind Griner in this year's draft, added eight rebounds and four blocks.
Griner became the third WNBA player to dunk and first to do it twice in one game. She finished with 17 points, eight boards and four blocks for Phoenix, which scored just nine points in the first quarter and trailed by as many as 27.
Epiphanny Prince had 26 points to pace the Sky, while Diana Taurasi led the Mercury with 18 points.
