Sky crush Liberty
Aug 24, 2013 - 3:09 AM Rosemont, IL (Sports Network) - Sylvia Fowles led a balanced Chicago attack with 14 points and seven rebounds, as the Sky cruised past the New York Liberty with an 82-64 victory on Friday.Elena Delle Donne and Swin Cash each chipped in 11 points for the Sky, winners in four straight, and Courtney Vandersloot added 10 points and seven assists.
Plenette Pierson was the only scorer in double figures for New York and had 25 points, but coupled that with eight turnovers as the Liberty suffered a third consecutive defeat.
Chicago broke the game open in third quarter, when it was able to stretch its five-point halftime lead to 22 points. Fowles scored nine of her points in the period, which saw the Sky outscore the Liberty 29-12.
