Sky take down Dream
May 25, 2014 - 2:12 AM Rosemont, IL (SportsNetwork.com) - Elena Della Donne poured in 27 points to lead the Chicago Sky to an 87-73 win over the Atlanta Dream on Saturday.Courtney Vandersloot deposited 10 points and 11 rebounds for the Sky, who have won four straight to open the season.
Allie Quigley tallied 13 points, while Markeisha Gatling and Courtney Clements each potted 10 points in the win.
Erika de Souza paced the Dream with 18 points to go along with 12 rebounds and Shoni Schimmel added 17 points in the setback.
Chicago scored the final five points of the first half to take a 41-39 lead into the break.
Atlanta remained close until Clements knocked down a 3-pointer which ignited a 10-2 run that staked the Sky to a 62-51 advantage late in the third.
Chicago remained in control and stretched the lead to a game-high 14 after Della Donne's trey with under two minutes to play in the fourth that accounted for the final margin.
