Jul 23, 2014 - 4:53 AM Seattle, WA (SportsNetwork.com) - Diana Taurasi scored 22 points to lead the streaking Phoenix Mercury to an 89-71 rout of the Seattle Storm on Tuesday.

Candice Dupree tallied 19 points, Brittney Griner netted 17 points with seven rebounds and DeWanna Bonner added 10 points for the Mercury, who have won a franchise-record 13 straight. They won their 10th in a row at home, one shy of a franchise-record, and clinched a playoff spot.

The Mercury secured their 19th win (19-3), matching the victory total from all of last season.

Crystal Langhorne scored 22 points for the Storm, while Sue Bird and Camille Little supplied 14 and 13 points, respectively, in the setback.

Phoenix led 24-21 after the first quarter and brought a 47-36 lead into the break at the half.

Taurasi knocked down a 3-pointer after a Dupree bucket to open the third, and the Mercury led by as many as 22 in the second half in cruising to the win.

Phoenix tied the third-longest winning streak in WNBA history. The Los Angeles Sparks hold the record of 18 straight wins set in 2001.
