Lynx take down Sun
Jul 27, 2014 - 9:34 PM Uncasville, CT (SportsNetwork.com) - Maya Moore had 17 points, seven rebounds and four assists to help the Minnesota Lynx beat the Connecticut Sun, 76-65, on Sunday.Seimone Augustus scored 13 points and Janel McCarville and Lindsay Whalen netted 11 points apiece in Minnesota's seventh straight win.
Kelsey Bone finished with 15 points and nine rebounds for the Sun, who have lost two in a row.
The Lynx went up 6-0 early, but the Sun took a 16-14 lead with about three and a half minutes to go in the first. It was their only lead of the game, however, as Minnesota went up seven to end the first and took a 39-28 lead into halftime.
McCarville's 3-point bank shot with just over a minute left in the third gave Minnesota a 17-point lead -- its largest of the game -- and the Lynx cruised the rest of the way.
