Parker guides Sparks over Storm
Aug 16, 2014 - 4:41 AM Los Angeles, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Candace Parker totaled a game-high 24 points and Kristi Toliver added 20 as Los Angeles posted a 77-65 decision over Seattle on Friday night.Nneka Ogwumike scored 11 points but committed eight turnovers for the playoff- bound Sparks, who have won two in a row and three of four. LA finishes its regular season on Saturday in Phoenix.
Jenna O'Hea poured in 16 points, with Crystal Langhorne and Waltiea Rolle contributing 10 points each for the Storm, who saw their three-game win streak halted. Seattle concludes its schedule by hosting Phoenix on Sunday.
Los Angeles effectively wrapped up the contest with a strong first half, taking a 28-21 lead after one period and extending it to 48-32 at the break.
