Bonner, Dupree lead Mercury over Lynx

Jun 14, 2015 - 10:00 PM Phoenix, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - DeWanna Bonner scored 22 points, Candice Dupree had 16 and the Phoenix Mercury beat the Minnesota Lynx 81-66 on Sunday to extend their franchise-record home winning streak to 17 games.

Leilani Mitchell added 11 points and Alex Harden scored 10 off the bench for the Mercury, who snapped a two-game losing streak.

It was the first meeting between the teams since the Mercury beat the Lynx in the Western Conference finals last year on the way to the franchise's third WNBA title.

Maya Moore and Seimone Augustus had 17 points apiece to lead the Lynx, who suffered their first loss in four games this season.

Lindsay Whalen chipped in 13 points for Minnesota.

Dupree scored 12 points in the first quarter and Bonner had 13 in the first half to help the Mercury build a 48-38 lead at the break.

Their advantage reached 17 in the third quarter and was as high as 16 in the fourth.
