Mercury down Dream in offensive showcase
Aug 12, 2011 - 4:43 AM Phoenix, AZ (Sports Network) - DeWanna Bonner totaled 25 points and 13 rebounds off the bench to lead the Phoenix Mercury past the Atlanta Dream, 109-95.Candice Dupree added a season-high 22 points, Diana Taurasi chipped in 21 and Penny Taylor rounded out Phoenix's double-digit scorers with 19.
Angel McCoughtry tallied 25 points on 6-of-16 shooting for Atlanta, which had won two straight coming in.
Phoenix, coming off an 85-80 win over league-leading Minnesota, continued that momentum by jumping out to a 30-20 lead after the first quarter and never relinquishing it thereafter.
