Nolan paces Shock past Liberty
Jun 9, 2007 - 1:39 AM NEW YORK (Ticker) -- Deanna Nolan had 17 points and Swin Cash added 14 as the Detroit Shock handed the New York Liberty their first loss, courtesy of a 67-57 decision on Friday.Nolan was 6-of-13 from the field and Cash was 6-of-8 for Detroit (5-0), which enjoyed a decisive 21-8 edge in the second quarter.
Cheryl Ford had 11 points and a game-high 11 rebounds for the Shock, who also tied a team record with 11 blocks.
Shameka Christon had 18 points and Catherine Kraayeveld had 13 points and seven rebounds for New York (5-1).
The Liberty shot 32.3 percent from the field.
