Sky take down Sparks
Sep 3, 2012 - 1:09 AM Rosemont, IL (Sports Network) - Epiphanny Prince led six Chicago players in double figures with 17 points and the Sky defeated the Los Angeles Sparks, 85-74, on Sunday.Courtney Vandersloot added 15 points and Sylvia Fowles had 14 for the Sky, who halted a two-game slide. Swin Cash and Shay Murphy both chipped in 13 points while Tamera Young finished with 11.
Kristi Toliver scored a game-high 19 points in defeat and Alana Beard added 16.
The Sparks, who have lost two games in a row, were up 43-33 at the half, but managed just 13 points in the third quarter and lost the lead in the process.
Chicago shot 64.7 percent in the third and got seven points from Vandersloot en route to a 60-56 advantage entering the final quarter.
The Sky never trailed in the fourth and led by as many as 11.
