Dream sail past Sky
Jun 8, 2014 - 2:02 AM Atlanta, GA (SportsNetwork.com) - Angel McCoughtry and Erika de Souza each scored 20 points as the Atlanta Dream cruised to a 97-59 victory over the Chicago Sky on Saturday at Philips Arena.Sancho Lyttle supplied 15 points and 12 rebounds, while Tiffany Hayes and Shoni Schimmel added 11 and 10 points, respectively, for Atlanta, which has won three of its last four games.
The Dream outscored the Sky, 42-22, in the paint and held a 24-7 edge in second-chance points en route to their largest margin of victory in franchise history.
Allie Quigley tallied 11 points off the bench for the Sky, who have lost two straight and three of their last four games.
A McCoughtry 3-pointer gave the Dream a 16-6 lead with just over five minutes left in the first and Atlanta led 30-16 after 10 minutes.
The home team pushed the spread to 56-31 by halftime before cruising to victory in the second half.
