Moore helps Lynx dominate Sparks
Jun 18, 2014 - 4:48 AM Los Angeles, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Maya Moore posted 31 points to help the Minnesota Lynx to a 94-77 win over the Los Angeles Sparks on Tuesday.Seimone Augustus added 14 points, while Lindsay Whalen gave 12 with seven assists for the Lynx, who had dropped three of four coming into the game.
Alana Beard gave 18 points, Candace Parker scored 16 points with five rebounds, and Nneka Ogwumike added 13 points and eight boards for the Sparks, who have lost four straight.
Minnesota hit 12-of-17 shots in the first quarter while limiting Los Angeles to just six shots to take a 29-14 lead into the second quarter.
It was a 53-42 game at the half, and the Lynx had a strong third quarter to tame an 85-57 lead into the final frame.
