Grieb throws nine touchdowns in rout
May 20, 2007 - 6:30 AM SAN JOSE, California (Ticker) -- Mark Grieb passed for nine touchdowns as the San Jose Sabercats cruised to their fifth straight win, a 69-44 rout over the Grand Rapids Rampage.Grieb completed 21-of-38 passes for 311 yards and Cleannord Saintil had seven receptions for 116 yards and four scores for the Sabercats, who took an early lead and never trailed in the contest.
James Roe hauled in eight catches for 152 yards and a touchdown for San Jose (8-3), which has a 6-0 record at home this season.
Timon Marshall caught seven passes for 77 yards and a touchdown and also recovered a fumble for a score for the Rampage (3-8), who have lost five in a row on the road.
Chad Salisbury passed for 202 yards and three touchdowns with one interception before being replaced by Adrian McPherson in the fourth quarter.
