Kelly outduels Stafford as VooDoo edge Predators

Apr 1, 2007 - 5:25 AM NEW ORLEANS (Ticker) -- Andy Kelly started off cold but heated up at the right time.

Kelly threw three of his five touchdowns in the fourth quarter as the New Orleans VooDoo rallied for a 48-45 victory over the Orlando Predators.

Kelly completed 25-of-44 passes for 269 yards and Troy Mason had nine catches for 138 yards for the VooDoo (3-2), who converted 3-of-4 opportunities in the red zone.

New Orleans trailed, 39-27, in the fourth quarter before Kelly started finding the end zone. His one-yard TD toss to James Jordan gave the VooDoo a 41-39 advantage with 3:22 left.

Shane Stafford's 41-yard touchdown pass to Javarus Dudley helped Orlando regain a four-point edge with 55 seconds remaining. However, Kelly responded with a 14-yard score to Mason, sealing the win.

Stafford was 24-of-37 for 309 yards with five touchdowns and Charles Lee caught 10 passes for 113 yards and a TD for the Predators (2-3), who had 16 first downs.
