D'Orazio's late score keeps Soul undefeated

Apr 13, 2008 - 6:03 AM SAN JOSE, California (Ticker) -- Matt D'Orazio's 5-yard touchdown run with 10 seconds left in the fourth quarter helped the Philadelphia Soul remain perfect with Saturday's 58-57 victory over the San Jose SaberCats.

D'Orazio completed 27-of-46 for 327 yards and five scores and Larry Brackins hauled in eight catches for 86 yards and two TDs for Philadelphia (7-0).

Mark Grieb's 30-yard touchdown strike to Rodney Wright put the SaberCats (3-4) ahead 57-50 with 49 seconds left in the fourth, setting up D'Orazio's late-game heroics.

San Jose had one last shot to pull out the win, but kicker A.J. Haglund missed a 48-yard field goal as time expired following a two-point conversion by Philadelphia's Clifton Smith.

Grieb went 24-of-37 for 274 yards and six touchdowns with one interception and Wright finished with 12 catches for 110 yards and two scores for the SaberCats.
