Late-game heroics send Soul to conference finals

Jul 6, 2008 - 3:39 AM PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) -- Matt D'Orazio connected on a 28-yard touchdown strike with Larry Brackins as time expired to lift the Philadelphia Soul to a 49-48 victory over the New York Dragons on Saturday.

D'Orazio completed 20-of-32 passes for 258 yards and six touchdowns with one interception and Brackins hauled in seven receptions for 87 yards as the Soul advanced to the National Conference finals.

Chris Jackson had eight catches for 122 yards and four touchdowns for Philadelphia, which will face either Cleveland or Georgia in the next round.

Aaron Garcia passed for 337 yards and five touchdowns and Kevin Swayne made 14 catches for 166 yards and five scores for the Dragons, who took the lead with 57 seconds left on a 2-yard rushing score by receiver Keron Henry.
