Jackson's five touchdowns lifts Georgia over Austin
Mar 12, 2007 - 1:02 AM ATLANTA (Ticker) -- The Georgia Force have jumped out to an early lead in the Southern Division standings.Chris Jackson had eight catches for 119 yards and five touchdowns to lead the Force to a 60-51 victory over the Austin Wranglers.
Chris Greisen threw for 282 yards and seven touchdowns for Georgia (2-0), which faced just two third downs.
Troy Bergeron had 11 receptions and 127 yards and Derek Lee added four and 36 with two touchdowns for the Force, who sacked the Wranglers four times.
Austin closed the gap to 53-51 with 46 seconds left on Adrian McPherson's 16-yard touchdown pass to Kevin Nickerson. Georgia responded with 27 ticks remaining on a one-yard touchdown run by Jarrick Hillary, who scored on both of his two carries.
McPherson was 30-for-45 with 344 yards and four touchdowns for the Wranglers (1-1, 0-1), who dominated time of possession, controling the ball for over 35 minutes.
Nickerson made 13 catches with 146 yards and two touchdowns and Derrick Lewis added seven for 108 with a touchdown for Austin, which converted 3-of-10 on third down and 2-of-3 on fourth down.
