Stafford leads Predators past Force
Apr 20, 2008 - 5:06 AM ATLANTA (Ticker) -- Shane Stafford threw five touchdown passes, including two late in the fourth quarter, to lead the Orlando Predators to a 65-62 victory over the Georgia Force on Saturday.Trailing 62-52 in the fourth quarter, Orlando (6-2) rallied as Stafford threw a pair of TD passes to Chas Gessner.
The duo hooked up for a one-yard score with 3:30 to play to cut Georgia's lead to 62-59. Gessner hauled in an eight-yard scoring strike with five seconds left to complete the comeback.
Stafford completed 22-of-36 passes for 262 yards and was intercepted once. Gessner finished with seven receptions for 55 yards and four TDs.
Chris Greisen was 21-of-37 for 274 yards and five TDs for the Force (3-4).
