Nagy leads Destroyers over Dragons

May 5, 2007 - 4:04 AM COLUMBUS, Ohio (Ticker) -- Matt Nagy threw five touchdown passes to four different receivers to lead the Columbus Destroyers to their fourth straight home win, a 51-42 victory over the New York Dragons on Friday.

Nagy completed 18-of-28 passes for 251 yards. He connected with Damien Groce seven times, including a 25-yard scoring play in the fourth quarter to provide the final margin.

Groce gained 104 yards on the seven receptions and Harold Wells added two rushing scores for the Destroyers (5-4), who moved into second place in the Eastern Division.

Aaron Garcia passed for 285 yards and five touchdowns but was intercepted twice for the Dragons (2-7), who have lost five of their last six games.

Chris Anthony had 11 catches for 112 yards and three touchdowns and Mike Horacek hauled in nine passes for 94 yards and two scores for New York, which has yet to win a division game this season.
