Wimprine, VooDoo extend Blaze's woes
Apr 26, 2008 - 4:42 AM NEW ORLEANS (Ticker) -- Danny Wimprine tossed nine touchdown passes Friday as the New Orleans VooDoo handed the Utah Blaze their ninth straight loss to start the season with a 70-56 victory.Wimprine completed 22-of-33 passes for 265 yards and James Jordan hauled in eight receptions for 86 yards and four scores for the VooDoo (7-2), who have won seven of their last eight games.
Ruben DeAndrew and Javarus Dudley each added two touchdown catches for New Orleans, which forced three turnovers and converted two fourth downs.
Joe Germaine passed for 389 yards and six touchdowns while Huey Whitaker made 20 catches for 208 yards and three scores for the Blaze (0-9), who were tied at 14-14 before surrendering 28 straight points.
