Astros ink C Powell to minor league deal
Mar 14, 2012 - 7:46 PM Jupiter, FL (Sports Network) - The Houston Astros signed catcher Landon Powell to a minor league contract on Wednesday.Powell was released by Oakland last Friday.
Originally a 2004 first-round draft pick, Powell hit .207 with 10 homers and 45 RBI in three seasons with the Athletics.
