Haq free to resume Scotland career
Jun 25, 2015 - 2:37 PM Scotland off-spinner Majid Haq has been told he can resume his international career after being sent home early from the World Cup.Haq responded to being left out from the Pool match against Sri Lanka by posting a tweet, which was soon deleted, in which he suggested his omission had racial overtones.
However, Cricket Scotland said Thursday they now considered the matter "closed", with Haq again available for selection.
"Cricket Scotland has announced today (Thursday) that following careful consideration of matters it has decided to take no further action against Majid Haq following the incidents which led to him leaving the Cricket Scotland party at the recent ICC 2015 Cricket World Cup.
"Mr Haq is free with immediate effect to return to his duties under his contract with Cricket Scotland."
Scotland failed to win a match at the World Cup, either with or without the 32-year-old Haq, their record wicket-taker.
