Jones goes 4-for-4, Orioles down Mariners

May 12, 2011 - 4:45 AM Baltimore, MD (Sports Network) - Chris Tillman allowed just one run over six innings and Adam Jones drove in a pair of runs as Baltimore downed Seattle, 4-2, in the second of a three-game set from Camden Yards.

Tillman (2-3) allowed just three hits and struck out five, while Kevin Gregg pitched a perfect ninth to earn his seventh save of the season.

"[Tillman] did a good job keeping us off-balance...but he left a few pitches up that we didn't do anything with," Mariners manager Eric Wedge said.

Jones was 4-for-4 on the night with a triple.

"He's certainly been on top of his game lately," Orioles manager Buck Showalter said of Jones. "He's letting the game come to him and trusting in his abilities more."

Felix Hernandez (4-3) struggled to find the mark, allowing seven hits and four runs, while walking three over five innings.

Ichiro Suzuki and Chone Figgins each had two hits for the Mariners, who have lost four straight. Michael Saunders blasted his second home run of the season in the loss.

Seattle took a 1-0 lead in the third, as Chone Figgins singled up the middle. The grounder barely got past the outstretched Brian Roberts, allowing Brendan Ryan to cross the plate.

Derrek Lee added the equalizer just a half-inning later, powering a sacrifice fly to deep right field.

The Orioles put together a decisive two-out rally in the fifth. After a Roberts strikeout and a Felix Pie groundout, Lee ripped a single to left and Vladimir Guerrero was hit by a pitch. Luke Scott then singled up the middle, scoring Lee. Jones followed with a triple to right-center, clearing the bases and giving Baltimore a 4-1 lead.

In the seventh, Saunders deposited a 3-1 fastball over the right field fence, but Seattle got no closer.
