3 minor leaguers draw 50-game drug suspensions
Sep 30, 2010 - 10:56 PM NEW YORK (AP) -- Three minor leaguers have been given 50-game suspensions after testing positive for performance-enhancing drugs.The penalties were handed down Thursday and will be effective at the start of next season.
Los Angeles Angels outfielder Reynaldo Ruiz and Baltimore shortstop Alfredo Zambrano were playing in the Dominican Summer League.
St. Louis shortstop Lainer Bueno was with the Cardinals' team in the Venezuelan Summer League.
